 Located beautifully on the gentle sloping shores of Lake
Herridge are six modern, winterized, housekeeping cottages just
minutes south of Temagami. These units consist of 1, 2, & 3 bedrooms, a large furnished living room area,
fully equipped kitchens, and 3 piece bathrooms with an abundance of hot water. Each cottage has a propane BBQ and a picnic table. Also available are tent & trailer sites, with flush toilets and hot showers.
There is a sandy beach with diving dock, a play area,
and camp fire
pits. As well as boat & motor rentals, we offer Remote Lake Day trips,
in which you can fish, or explore a chain of wilderness lakes,
accessible by short portages off of Lake Herridge. We have placed boats, motors and gas on these lakes, so all you
carry is your fishing gear and your camera. The fishing is great
and the beautiful Temagami scenery is legendary. It is not unusual to catch a glimpse of
wildlife in it's natural habitat.
The home lake, Lake Herridge is
approximately 3 miles long. It has lots of bays and inlets, weed beds, shoals, and is up to 150 feet deep in spots.
Walleye (Yellow Pickerel), Small Mouth Bass, Lake Trout, Whitefish and the ever
hungry Northern Pike will make even a
gourmet's mouth water. Speckled Trout streams or stocked ponds are only minutes away.
Hunting moose or grouse in Temagami's
magnificent wilderness
forest, with the ever changing autumn colours, makes for one of the
most enjoyable experiences. Close by are Walking, Biking and Hiking Trails through old
growth forests. You can climb the Caribou Mountain Fire tower for a panoramic
view of the Temagami Wilderness.
