This young black bear looks like he's trying to figure out if it's safe to explore any further. Black bears have very poor eyesight but they make up for it with a keen sense of smell and good hearing. When an intruder enters their space they will try to get downwind of it so they can smell what kind of intruder it may be. They are normally quite shy of people and do their best to avoid them.
