The mallard duck is one of the most commonly recognized ducks in our area. They can be found all over North America in marshes and wetlands. They feed just below the surface of the water on aquatic plants and also enjoy various grains when they are available. This guy knows where to go in the winter, leaving Temagami and places like it for the warmer climates that Florida and Mexico have to offer.
