Public Works And Water Committee

Areas of Concern
  • Act as liaison between Council and Public Works and Water Committee
  • General operation, maintenance and upkeep of municipal services
  • Be familiar with water intake systems
  • Sewage lines and treatment, and water-testing of receiving water bodies
  • Review the collection and disposal of municipal garbage, and study of new dumps
  • To recommend replacement of Municipal equipment when necessary
  • Be familiar with municipally-owned buildings, including arena and municipal sports facilities
  • Encourage training of works department personnel
  • Recycling program
  • Navigational Aids
  • Roads
  • Examine municipal by-laws and recommend new or improved by-laws from time to time
  • Street lights

  • Maintain good public relations and promote the municipality in all areas
